Hello October,

I have missed you (as much as one can miss a month at least). This year marks the return of 31 Days of Halloween, a journey I started last year which chronicles the everyday musings of this whimsical season. A new year marks new changes for this season’s passage. This year I’m working and will have less time for extravagant ventures, tho I still plan on eating myself into a sugar coma, dressing up, and seeking out all kinds of thrills. They will just be less frequent (I know, I know, try and stifle the tears). However, everyday will still be filled with something to celebrate my favorite month whether it be a story, poem, a recipe, or an adventure. With that being said, let the festivities begin :)

Day 6

Take a Lovely October Stroll

Hello folks,
Let me get into the specifics with you as to one of the reasons why I love this month.
I'm talking about the weather of course!
When I was growing up in Portland, October always carried it's own uniqueness. The sky looked different, the wind seemed to change, and the air became crisper, more magical with a certain aura that I to this day cannot quite describe. It even had it's own unique smell (don't worry, it's actually a very good smell) And even tho I live in Cali now, I look forward to that October feeling every year. In honor of that, I took a brisk afternoon walk for day 6 :)

Simply fantastical.
